Make a little time for a game with your partner. Wordzilla lets you race the same hidden word on separate boards or take turns solving one board together. Play from two phones, two computers, or one of each, with a private invitation and chat inside the game.

Competition or collaboration? Start there
For a friendly rivalry, choose 1v1. You see each other's progress but not the guessed letters, and the same hidden word keeps the challenge comparable. Fewer guesses wins, with time breaking ties. Agree that a rematch is optional rather than turning a short game into a long commitment.
For a more collaborative evening, choose Co-op. You take turns on one board with six guesses between you. Talk through which letters you want to test before you enter a word. If you have different levels of experience, sharing the reasoning can be more enjoyable than comparing scores.
A simple long-distance game plan
You do not need to be in the same room or use the same kind of device. A private browser game gives you a shared activity alongside a call, or you can use the in-game chat on its own. Wordzilla is live, so agree on a time when you can both be online.

One partner signs in and creates an invitation from Play Together. Send the link in your usual private conversation.
Keep the first round familiar
Choose a language you both know and a comfortable word length. Start with a single round before deciding on more.
Talk about the clues
In Co-op, discuss each guess before the current player submits it. In a duel, keep the answer to yourself until the round is over, then compare approaches.
Playing together at home
Use one device each for a private live session. Sit together if you want to discuss a cooperative board, or keep your screens separate for a competitive game. No television setup is needed for two-player 1v1 or Co-op.
A word game is only one option for spending time together. If one person is tired of timed challenges, switch formats or stop after the round. If friends join you, Party Mode is a separate group format with a shared display and phone-based joining.

Can couples play from different places?
Yes. Both players need an internet connection and a browser. One person signs in and shares a private invitation link; the other can join as a guest. The game and chat update in real time.
What if one of us is much better at word games?
Try Co-op. You take turns on the same board and share six guesses, so you can discuss clues instead of comparing separate scores. Start with a word length you both enjoy.
Do we both need an account or an app?
No app is required. The host needs a free account, but the invited partner can join as a guest. Use a separate device for each player.
