How to play a word game on your TV and phones
The TV is the shared display, not an extra player. The host manages the party, while guests use their own phones to join and make guesses. A laptop or other browser-capable shared screen can stand in for a TV.
Host the party
Sign in with a free account and open the Party host screen. Choose a playlist, language, and round settings that suit your group.
Open the shared display
Open the party's TV view on the screen everyone can see. Keep the host controls available on your own device.
Invite the players
Guests open the join page on their phones and enter the six-character room code. Each guest chooses a nickname; a guest account signup is not required.
Blitz or Ladder?
Blitz is a same-word race. Everyone tackles the same word, with the first solver earning the higher score. Other players can still solve before the round ends. It is a good place to start when your group wants a straightforward timed challenge.
Ladder increases the word length from 4 through 11 letters across its levels. The changing lengths make later rounds a different challenge from the opening word. Use it when your group wants a longer progression rather than repeating the same word length.
The host can choose a preset or configure a playlist. Keep the first session simple, then adjust the available word lengths and timings to your group's comfort level. Read the rules shown for the selected mode before starting.
Before everyone joins
Plan for up to ten players, an internet connection on every device, and a shared display that can open the TV view. Keep the six-character room code visible until everyone has joined. Guests need a nickname; the host needs a free account.
Choose one of the seven playable dictionaries: English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Indonesian, or Portuguese. The language of a marketing page does not add another playable dictionary.
If you are playing with just one other person and do not want a shared TV display, a private 1v1 or Co-op invitation is the simpler option.

How does Party Mode work?
